"Rescuing Lost Kittens: A Dream of Reconciliation and Redemption"

I was at my mom’s apartment. My parents are divorced. I was letting our cats in, three kittens of which we had given away weeks ago and one of which we kept. There was another cat, my moms, that I brought inside too. But I saw my dog from my dads place and was going to bring him in too as if my parents were never divorced and they were still my moms pets. But I looked closer, and the dog standing there was actually a very very rude light cat. Stuff went down that I don’t remember, and all of a sudden the kittens were hiding in different places so they wouldn’t get murdered and the momma, my moms cat, was inside still I’m pretty sure. So I looked for them. I found one and saved it, found another next to the mean cat. I threw it, hoping it could land and run. It died on impact. I brought it inside, crying, to my mother. Except this wasn’t the apartment, it was my grandma on my dad’s sides house for some reason. I told my mom I killed a kitten. She just told me I must find the others before they got killed. So I went back out. I don’t remember what happened next but the cops showed up and helped us. They were only missing one kitten. I found it dead inside a planter, with no scratch marks. So I just cried, until it pawed at my face. The kitten was alive. I gave it to the cop, and she told me to get in her car. It probably made sense in the dream, but I got in. We chatted away like best friends, about her life and if she wanted to be a cop, about mine. I liked her. She felt like a safe place.

This dream seems to reflect a sense of responsibility and guilt that you may be carrying in your waking life. The setting of your mom's apartment, especially with the presence of animals (cats and dogs), could symbolize feelings of family, home, and nurturing.

The kittens that you were trying to protect and save could represent vulnerable or innocent aspects of yourself or situations that you are trying to take care of. The fact that some of the kittens were given away and one was kept may suggest feelings of loss and attachment.

The confusion surrounding the dog turning out to be a cat might symbolize unexpected or confusing situations in your life that require further examination. The rude nature of the cat could indicate feelings of aggression or hostility that you may be encountering.

The distress over the kittens being in danger and ultimately finding one dead but then miraculously alive could signify feelings of fear, loss, and hope in your waking life. The interaction with the police officer, who becomes a source of comfort and support, may represent a desire for external help and guidance in dealing with challenging situations.

Overall, this dream could be highlighting your internal struggles, need for protection, and search for emotional safety and connections in your waking life. It may be a way for your subconscious mind to process complex emotions and experiences.
